Rainy Day Blues
This morning, there was water coming over the left side of the dam and just a trickle or three over the right; now, five hours later, the water is raging, the thrum is near-deafening and the roof is leaking over my stove. Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. At least I can still use the oven. I'm counting on muffins to make everything right with the world - I'll report in later.

As Rona said, what a difference from Brrrrrrrrr to the raging waters of Rainy Day Blues! While the changes are rarely that dramatic, the water and the birds in and around it are always changing and it's what makes living next to the dam so exciting. Usually, when we get up here it's dark, but the first thing I do is shine a light on the dam to see what's happening and, of course, the dam is the first thing I look at in the morning. And this morning it's gorgeous -- the sun is out, the water fall is still strong and the light glinting off it is brilliant. It's enough to make me believe that spring will come -- the fact that I saw a robin on the deck helped too.

Hope that leak is repaired successfully.
